Sherri Collinsworth
Director of Religious Education

Sherri Collinsworth, our Director of Religious
Education was born in Millinocket Maine.
While in Maine, Sherri
received her degree in Medical Lab Technology and was the
Microbiology department head at
Millinocket
Regional Hospital. She
moved to Spring Hill in 1992, becoming a parishoner of Saint Frances
Cabrini. Sherri’s husband Roger is a retired Marine Engineer, so
throughout most of their marriage Sherri stayed home with her son
Christopher. Christopher is now a fourth grade teacher at
Holy Family
Catholic School
in Jacksonville. Roger
has since retired from the sea and volunteers his time not only at
St. Frances Cabrini but also for St. Vincent de Paul. Prior to
heading up the Religious Education Department, Sherri was a
catechist, was one of the founding members of the youth program and
has served on various parish and Diocesan Committees.
Sherri is currently the Hernando Deanery
Representative for the Diocesan Faith Formation Advisory Board. This
is a post that she has held for the last four years. She continues
towards a Certificate in Masters Catechesis through the Diocese of
St. Petersburg Continuing Education Program. Joining the St. Frances
Cabrini staff family in 1998, she has enjoyed working with
catechists, families, and watching the children grow in their love
for the Lord. She enjoys traveling, boating, and playing with her
“huge” Maine Coon Cat Lili.
