Reception for Father Jankowski

Join us as we Thank our Pastor, Father Richard Jankowski, for 13 years of Spiritual guidance and enrichment in our Sacramental lives. Time has passed so quickly but when we stop and think of the ways in which this parish has grown as a community of Faith, the results are endless, and all the while, Father Richard paved the way.

Aside from the priority of our Spiritual
lives, the parish has had many physical enhancements: Bronze statues that grace the grounds, a new sanctuary, new electrical in the church, new roofing, new lighting, outdoor
expansion of electrical capacity, new flooring and sound system in Xavier Hall, internal office painting and privacy enhancement, new telephones, and so much more. Father Jankowski lead us to a successful end to a major capital campaign to expand parking which has assisted during peak Mass attendance times and has contributed to last year’s Feast being a huge community and financial success. Father Jankowski ensured our financial viability during a very challenging downturn in the economy which lasted a number of years and left the community in which we live and work with many major challenges.

Father Jankowski has supported Faith initiatives such as¬†Formed, offering free top-rated Catholic speakers and programs; our annual Women’s Celebration of Faith, which has
brought in nationally known speakers and singers for over 13 years; Annual Lenten Missions; excellent music and Liturgy celebrations; Bible studies on an ongoing basis; small group
Gospel communities; opportunities for youth to grow in their Faith during and after formal Religious Education; prayer groups; the Catholic Council of Women and the Knights of
Columbus.

Father Jankowski has worn many hats and has been a great sport, engaging in riding the bull, at the Feast; showing up as one of the “Men in Black” at the Fashion show; dancing the
polka to the delight of many; and leading the daily parade at the Feast with Holy Water to bless the rides and all the participants and workers.

We will miss you Father Jankowski and please know that we have been truly blessed to have you as our Pastor this past 13 years. May God guide you with the same love and joy you
shared with us as you embark on the next part of the plan He has for your life and gifts.
