Santa Breakfast Delay

We have received word from the Reindeer that Santa and his elves are running behind schedule! Our Breakfast With Santa has been postponed until Sunday, December 19 after the 9:30 a.m. Mass ONLY.

This Sunday, December 5, will be a regular Coffee & Donuts. There will NOT be a Coffee & Donut Social on Sunday, December 19 or 26.

All Souls’ Day Mass

Please join us, in person or online, at 7 p.m. on November 2 for our All Soul’s Day Mass. All Soul’s Day commemorates all of the faithful departed, and offers us the opportunity to aid the poor souls in purgatory by our prayers and devotions. In fact, an indulgence for the souls in purgatory is granted to the faithful who devoutly visit a cemetery and pray for the departed. We are no longer using the red Worship Books which used to be in the church.

They are now on the tables in Xavier Hall arranged in groups according to the first letter of the last name of the person who donated the books.  If you donated any books, you are free to take them for your own use.

Feel free to stop by during Coffee & Donuts this Sunday to locate your books.

If you are unable to pick up the Worship Book(s) you donated, please email the office (info@stfrances.org) with the name of the donor and we will put your book aside.

Any books which are not claimed will be given away.

Health Alert

An Important Message from Father David DeJulio:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Today, August 23, 2021, a COVID-19 test was administered to me, and I was informed that the test came back positive.

In order to ensure the safety of our parish community, I will self-quarantine until I have been cleared to return to public ministry.  Updates will be provided as they become available.

While we are all taking COVID-19 seriously and taking many precautions to prevent the spread of infection on our campus, the risk of coming into contact with coronavirus remains, particularly in light of the increasing number of positive cases, resulting from the delta variant. Individuals and families should take personal responsibility to protect themselves.  A resource page from the Diocese of St. Petersburg, offering protocols for safety in our parishes can be found on the following link:  https://www.dosp.org/protocols-for-safety-continue-in-catholic-churches/.

If you are concerned that you might have been infected, I would advise you to contact your physician for proper guidance, including testing if your doctor feels it is warranted.

Let us continue to pray for all who are facing illness or the loss of a loved one, for an end to the pandemic and for the peace of Christ to reign in our hearts.
