2018 St. Jude Award Recipient, Mary Dunn
It is my sincere pleasure to announce Mary Dunn, a parishioner of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish for 18 years, as this year’s recipient of the distinguished award of the St. Jude Medal.
I would consider Mary to be an intentional disciple who knows how to live God’s Word and bring it to life in those she touches, through her ministerial and parish community involvement. When asked to do God’s work, Mary Dunn always says “Yes”. In my 12 years as the Pastor of St. Frances Cabrini, Mary has been an integral part of all that is good and right about our parish.
Mary is an EM, serves homebound parishioners; serves as the Head Sacristan and trains new Sacristans; serves as the Wedding Sacristan; is the volunteer Baptism Assistant (assisting with packets, scheduling, and class support). In addition, she is an active member of the Council of Catholic Women.
Mary has dedicated much time and talent to our Women’s Faith Enrichment Team- Cabrini Daughters of God for 12 years, and assists in the planning and facilitation of an annual weekend event which is regularly attended by over 200 women, and has enhanced church community and the ministerial lives of many.
Mary has been a charter member of our Core planning and coordination team for the Annual Feast of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini- a 4-day festival, honoring our Patron saint and bringing together our extended community in faith, fun, and friendship for the benefit of the parish. Due to the efforts of many, including Mary who played a leadership role in the planning and managing of this year’s Boutique, this year’s Feast was our most well attended and financially successful to date.
Mary Dunn is a hard-working, faithful and spiritual servant of the Catholic Church and a true gift of God to this parish. Please join me in congratulating Mary Dunn for the honor of representing our parish as the recipient of the 2018 Award of the St. Jude Medal.

MOTHER CABRINI FEAST 2018
2018 Mother Cabrini Award Recipient ~ Ralph Decristofaro
Our Celebration of the Feast of St. Frances Cabrini has taken on an inclusive community participation in the past 6 years. One parishioner had the gift of vision, persistence, enthusiasm, and willingness to work hard to help bring this special event to a level of bringing us all together; for fun, family, spiritual happiness, and for much needed financial support to our church.
It is with great pleasure that we celebrate the 2018 Mother Cabrini Award winner, Ralph DeCristofaro. And, because of Ralph, we now come together for such a wonderful annual tribute to Mother Cabrini.
Ralph has been a long-time member of the parish; a member of the Knights of Columbus; a local and international business owner; a husband, father, son and friend to so many. He is an icon in this community!
This year’s Feast in honor of Mother Cabrini brought attendees in record numbers, featured a headliner for 2016 America’s Got Talent, Sal Valentinetti, and garnered financial support for our parish in the largest net gain we have experienced to date. Ralph DeCristofaro was the catalyst for the Feast, and as honorary chairman, his vision has now become a treasured tradition in our parish and community beyond.
Congratulations and sincere thanks Ralph!
