General Guidance for the Reception of the Eucharist

If you have limited mobility, please sit in the front pew of any section of pews so that Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion may come to you during the Communion Rite at Mass.
Holy Communion may be received on the tongue or on the hand, either kneeling or standing.
When receiving on the hand, please consume the Host immediately. Please do not reach for or grab the Host, break or crush the Host, or walk back to your pew with the Host prior to consumption.
For those with gluten intolerance, low-gluten hosts may be received from the Main Celebrant. When approaching him to receive Holy Communion, simply express your need to receive a low-gluten Host. If you are totally gluten intolerant, you may receive the Precious Blood from an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
